Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 August 2026

This is a draft prepared for internal review and hasn't yet been checked by a lawyer. It is not in effect and shouldn't be treated as binding until it's reviewed and approved by qualified legal counsel.

Who we are

The Noble Signal is operated by Noble Signal Technologies. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what rights you have over it.

Information we collect

We collect what you give us directly — your name, email, password (stored securely, never in plain text), and optionally a profile photo — and what you generate by using the app: gigs, clients, financial records, rehearsal availability, setlists and files you upload. We also collect basic technical data, like your device type and app version, to keep the service working properly.

How we use your information

We use your information to run the app: to authenticate you, to show you and your bandmates the right data, to process payments, to send the notifications you've opted into, and to fix problems when something breaks. We don't sell your personal information.

Your band and client data

Data you enter about your band — gigs, income, expenses, rehearsal dates — is visible to the members of that band, according to their role. Client details you save (name, contact info) are visible to your band only, never shared outside it or with other bands.

Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we use Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver them — for rehearsal votes, gig updates, financial activity, band changes and subscription reminders. You can turn categories on or off from Notification settings, or disable notifications entirely at the device level.

Service providers

We share the minimum data necessary with the providers that help us run the app: Stripe for payment processing, a cloud storage provider for the files you upload, and Firebase for push notifications. Each of them is only allowed to use your data to provide their service to us.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Financial records are kept as an immutable history — once created, an income, expense or settlement entry can't be altered, only superseded by a new entry — so your band's financial history stays accurate over time. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information; band records you're not the sole leader of remain as part of that band's history.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to how we process your data. You can download your data or delete your account directly from Privacy & Data in the app. For anything else, contact support and we'll help.

Account deletion

Deleting your account removes your personal information permanently and can't be undone. If you lead a band with other members, you'll need to remove them or otherwise resolve the band first — we don't delete a shared band out from under members who still need it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app or the law changes. Meaningful changes will be flagged in the app before they take effect.
